How late is there daylight in SW Colorado in late May?

Hi, we're planning a trip to the 4 corners area for next May. One thought is to leave Albuqueque in the morning and drive to Ouray. We don't want to do the section from Durango to Ouray as the light is failing, however. So can anyone tell me how late I can reasonably expect the daylight to last in that area in late May? Thanks.

Sunset in late May should be after 8pm in SW Colorado.

The drive from Abbuquerque to Durango is about 3 hours, non-stop. From there, the drive to Silverton is 45 minutes to 1 hour and then from Silverton to Ouray will be 30 - 45 minutes.

Depending on when you leave ABQ and how many stops you make...you should have no trouble getting to Ouray during daylight.

Hope this helps...

Thanks, Debi, it helps a lot. We don't want to rush the drive from Durango to Ouray, so this helps me plan what time we'd need to leave Albuquerque.

If you have any other Q's feel free to email me. I live outside of Durango and lived in ABQ before that. I also have some trip reports on here on Ouray. Type DebitNM in the search box at the top of the page and see some of my other threads and replies on SW Colorado and NM.

Hope this helps...

To get the exact minute of sunrise and sunset (in three different definitions, with daylight savings time factored in), for any day of year, for any city in the U.S. (and several around the world), use

www.SunriseSunset.Com
