How is Kaspar's? (Seattle)

I am moving to Seattle at the end of this month (hurrah!) and am currently planning my Thanksgiving meal. My parents will be visiting me from VA over Thanksgiving, so I'd like to have a nice/special Thanksgiving meal with them. I'll still be living in a hotel, so I think dining out might be the best option.

I came across Kaspar's in another thread because HTTY mentioned the buffet there. Does anyone have experience with any Kaspar buffets? This year's Thanksgiving buffet menu looks fabulous, but I'm a little timid of buffet dining unless I can be assured it is really good food.

Any of you had a buffet dinner at Kaspar's? Also - does Kaspar's have a view of anything interesting?

Thanks!

Kaspar's does a great buffet, but it has no view.

If you google "seattle thanksgiving buffet" the first hit is an article from The Seattle Times about restaurants serving Thanksgiving Dinner in 2006.

Restaurants in the list with a view include, in Seattle, Daniel's Broiler on Lake Union and The Waterfront, on Elliott Bay. In West Seattle, Salty's is famous for its buffet and view of the Seattle Skyline. In Kirkland, on the east side of Lake Washington, Yarrow Bay Grill is first rate and has a view.

Of these, my choice would be The Waterfront or Yarrow Bay Grill. However, Salty's is probably the biggest crowd pleaser.

Yarrow Bay Grill is a wonderful restaurant in Carillon Point in Kirkland right on Lake Washington.

I've never heard of Kaspar's (not that that proves anything).

Suze in Seattle

Just went to the website for Yarrow Bay Grill - this is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you both for the suggestions!

Oh hi Beanweb24~ I hadn't noticed this post was from you!

Yarrow Bay Grill is a very special restaurant imo and Carillon Point would be terrific for Thanksgiving dinner because after your meal you can walk along the lake. There's wooden paths and ramps, boat docks, NW natural style gardens. It's really quite unique.
