Local,
If you think San Francisco is one of the mosy beautiful places on earth, I feel very sorry that you have led such a sheltered life. You really need to travel more. And to say that anyone who has a problem with homeless people is a xenophobe, points to your lack of education. Just because someone disagrees with you, gives you no reason to call them names. Obviously you must be disturbed by the homeless problem in SF, or you would not be so defensive.

Reading this in the local paper made me think, "Only in San Francisco!" - another reason to love this unique city:

"Ever wonder what it's like to be handcuffed? Join officers from Mission Station in an auction this Saturday afternoon and find out as they handcuff willing participants and raffle off police memorabilia. Prizes include: among other things, an official SFPD T-shirt, a set of cuffs, a box of doughnuts, and a date with the cop of your dreams. Proceeds from this beer benefit go toward the gay and lesbian police officers' Pride Parade contingent. Don't miss the fun!"

Like I said, "Only in San Francisco!" Gotta love it.
