How hot is Hoover Dam in August?

Thinking about going on the Hard Hat Tour of Hoover Dam in August. How hot is it on this particular tour? Also will the tour be too boring for teenage boys? Thanks for any information about this tour.

Outside the dam? HOT! Possibly 110. Inside the dam, a cool 65 degrees, beautiful. And no, it won't be boring for your boys, especially if they are at all into mechanical things. Even if not, the guides tell lots of stories that make the tour interesting. It's a great experience, even for teenagers.

We stopped at Hoover Dam in August once. It was so hot when we got out of the car we couldn't breathe! See if you can make reservations for your tour ahead of time. You do not want to have to wait around for your tour to start in that heat!

How cold is a witch's tit in February?

We are also stopping at Hooover Dam on our way to Vegas in August. If we don't make it in time for the scheduled (reserved) tour because of traffic or miscalculation of driving time, is it still worthwhile to stop?

As Teddy Kennedy may have said, "We can cross that bridge when we come to it." Why try to predict the weather on a day two months out and make plans based on that shaky prediction when it sounds like you're going to be driving by the place anyway? Plan your trip and if it looks like a drag when you reach that particular point in your trip, then just keep on driving. This ain't rocket science.

Topper - <BR>Depends, is she wearing a brass brassiere?

It is very hot that time of year. The dam should be blown up anyway.
