How far to Islands of Adventure from Walt Disney World Dolphin?
We are spending a few days in Orlando at the Dolphin and have time for one park, our teens have been to all of WDW except Animal Kingdom and they like coasters more than 3D animations or zoo experiences. (We have an outstanding zoo here at home, so more of that ilk won't interested them)
Wondering how long and far is the drive from the Dolphin resort to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure? Thanks |
The drive will probably take about 20 minutes - depending on traffic! It's really not that far and an easy drive.
Have a great time! |
I think 30 minutes would be making good time.
The roads around Orlanda are conjested all the time. |
As stated, between 20 and 30 minutes. It is worth the trouble -- your teens will love Islands of Adventure - especially, The Hulk, Spiderman and Dueling Dragons - big fun!

I agree with the above travel times. There are clearly marked signs on the highway which make getting to the Islands of Adventure easy. Remember it is a long walk from the parking lot at Univeral to the park itself. Leave yourself about an extra ten minutes. Have a great time!

When we're in Orlando, we stay at a time share just outside Disney Marketplace. Rather than take I-4 (lots of traffice) in AM, there is a back way to Universal. You'll need a map of the area, but from 535 (Crossroads) take Turkey Lake Rd. It will still take 20 min or so, but you avoid a LOT of traffic.
