How early should Broadway tickets be booked......
 

Hi....We (hubby, two 20-ish sons, and I) are going to visit NYC during the end of May, 2006. I think the guys would enjoy Spamalot and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and get the tickets.

From looking at the BroadwayBox web site it seems that discounts are available until mid/end of March. Any opinions on if I should wait a month or so to see if any discounts might pop up for May? Also, any opinions on good seat requests when I call?

For Spamalot, call immediately for tickets. You may already be too. Forget about any discount tickets for that show in May. It's selling out now...and that will be the situation four months from now, as well.

Just saw Spamalot this weekend and loved it.We were able to get tickets a few days in advance but had to pay for that.I would get tickets now!!

Hi cindymal....Got our tickets. Only thing is, even for May!, I couldn't find any center row tickets.

I guess I could have paid for premium tickets but, lord knows, I think they would have cost more than our flights up there!

Even tho our seats are at the end of the row they are *suppose* to be full-view. Here's hoping!

Now you see why I urged you to get the tickets right away! If you had waited much longer, you wouldn't have been unsuccessful.

<i>Spamalot</i>is playing at the Shubert Threatre which is not a large venue. Even from the side the sightlines are good and the show is a hoot even if you aren't a Monty Python fan.

I *almost* waited to book our apartment on the hopes that it would go down in price. Well....it has gone up $70 or so a night!

And Intrepid 1, thanks for the comments. I'm not as much a Python fan as my hubby and sons. I almost just booked three tickets for the guys so I could have some 'me' time and do some shopping. But I didn't. I'm glad to hear the show's fun.
