How does this Arizona itinerary sound?

I want to see a bit of Arizona but my husband hasn't had a rest for awhile so I want to sightsee our brains out at first and then R&R with golf(for him) at the tail end. Having said that here goes:
Into Phoenix
NIghts one and two Sedona
nights three and four GC--Bright Angel cabins
Night five Page
night six Monumment Valley
Night seven Chinle
long drive
night 8 back to Sedona (golf) and/or to Wickenburg for two nights (also golf)
Nights 10 and 11-Scottsdale.

We are not young (but not that old) and wanted to come back feeling rested. Is this too ambitious in first part of trip. Thanks for all your anticipated advice. H

If I was doing the planning, I would go from the GC to Monument Valley for the tour and night and onto Canyon de Chelly for the tour and night and then on to Sedona...you will love Wickenburg, especially if you're staying at Rancho de los Caballeros and golfing there.

If I may ask why do you think I should avoid Page? H

one of the things i do is figure out what i want to see, par that down by a third and then be happy with only getting to half the places i thought i could. it is a fine but not resting itinerary. i have been to az a lot. and have gone to all these places except wickenburg. i can't see spending a whole day in page unless you want to boat ride on the lake.if that's not in your plans, it can be a shorter break in your touring but not an overnight. you could cut out canyon de chelly (although it is beautiful) to give yourself a better rest at the end. tack the day on to the last place you stay. but if that isn't a problem then i'd still skip page go to mv, down to chinle and back south via the petrified forest back to flagstaff and south.even though there are other routes that would take you to the mogollon rim to camp verde and back to 17, it will take longer.

I would go directly to the Gr. Canyon from Phoenix. Then to Monument Valley followed by Chinle and then to Sedona. I would skip Page unlesds you intend taking a boat ride

About what time of the year do you plan to go? There is a great variation in altitudes in your plan, and so there could be a great variation in temperatures. Usually, there is about 25 degrees difference between Phoenix and Flagstaff, the GC, and MV.
