To the fodors monitors out there. There is a guy using the "f" word and it sure would be nice if you had a place where we could contact you to report this.

They can be very quick at times and other times not so quick. This is one of those occasions where I hope an editor is standing by!

Good one, Patrick. When on either of the two websites, and I wish to reference the other, I usally state something like "the other travel website and publisher that starts with 'F'".
At the same time, I don't understand what the O.P. is so ef-ing upset about. I don't LIKE that profanity posted either, and it's the offending poster's ATTITUDE that I really don't care for ... but it would be a cold day in hell before I'd go "crying to the teacher" about others' legal (as opposed to complying with rules) actions ... I just skip over the ones I don't like.

As in the case of the few who argue about San Fran vs San Jose, I choose to ignore, as I'm afraid that if Fodors (trying to run a company for profit) gets sick enough of all the complaints, they'll not eliminate the offending posts, but instead the FORUMS. I'd rather skip some threads I don't like than not have these forums available, but too often the majority gets hurt as a result of the actions of a few.

I think this poster went way beyond the bounds. His language was offensive enough (although I don;t think any of us was about to faint from shock), but his attitude was a much bigger issue. However, what really bothered me was the death threat - that is nothing to fool around with - and really the authorities should be notified. (This is not "tattling" - who knows what someone that disturbed might do.)
