How do you rate the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, NV

Please give feedback on the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. How do you rate this hotel. Would you recommend it to someone?

The hotel itself is Okay. The location is not in the best part of town.

I would not choose to stay at the Strat. As previous post stated, the area is very bad & the Hotel itself is on the very low end.
There are other Hotels with the same rates that would be bette.

I would not recommend staying here. The location is not very good. When I stayed at the hotel there were numerous problems. Your much better off staying at one of the large hotels back in the main part of the strip

I disagree with the above posts. I have stayed there 2 years in a row. It was in financial trouble 4 yrs ago but then was taken over by new owners.
The rooms are big & clean, the food is great, the slots are the best....big drawback is that the casino is at the far end of the strip. What I do is take the bus to the far other end and walk it back and stop in casinos. I recommend it!

I agree with all of the above. You are stuck at that end of town. Mirage, Caesars, Treasure Island are all in the heart of the action. No not rent a car in Vegas, just do taxi's. Rio would be a highly recommended place to stay just off the strip. Great food and huge rooms and nice service but a few blocks off the strip but in a safe area. My husband and I are in our 30's with a 3 year old if you need any more info we go there quite often and I would be happy to help.
