Lists are good. Although, I'd worry about my trip first then the house cleaning second. :-)

I think the housework is sort of like the child care/play time issue that one of my aunts had. She had a few children and while they were young, she would leave the dishes in the sink and the beds unmade and play with the babies.
Someone in the family ( everyone has one of these) made a snide comment about the house being a mess.
My aunt said, the house will always be there, but the babies will grow up and move away.
The same can be said of the house before a Trip.

Enjoy the trip and your husband and family-the house will be there when you return :D

I would imagine by now that Caph is at the airport or even on the plane. By tomorrow, she will have her first Guinness, and she will not be thinking of her house, clean or otherwise LOL. :D :D :D
