((r)) Aloha - although we regularly go to Kauai in the winter, we were there in July, 2003, and although there certainly are more visitors at that time of year, it never felt at all crowded to me. We would not hesitate to go back at that time of year - it's just that as Northeasterners, we welcome the respite from winters! Go for it! ((Y))

Kaua`i is not crowded in the summer. Has something to do with all the rain, bugs and chickens =-O!

We were there in May, and it wasn't crowded at all, though traffic in Kapaa was a bit heavier than we expected. We usually had beaches nearly to ourselves, and never ran into issues with parking, finding a place to eat, etc. Gorgeous weather and scenery...you'll love it!
