how 2 get friend from midway airport?
 

My friend is flying in for a visit and booked herself at the wrong airport (Midway instead of O'hare or Milwaukee) I live on the IL -Wisconsin border-- and it's difficult for me to get all the way to midway. What's the best way to get her here, should she take the orange line and then I pick her up somewhere else?

Does Metra or Amtrak go anywhere near you? If so, it would be easy for her to take the orange line to downtown, then hop on one of those and meet you.

Were you going to meet her at O'Hare? If so, she could take the orange line to the blue line and still meet you there. (or just get a cab from Midway to O'Hare).

It would be a little easier for her than transferring from the Orange Line to blue.

Depending on where you are, Coach Wisconsin also runs between MDW and Kenosha, Racine and Waukesha. If that works for you, check www.wisconsincoach.com.

Hi there...I live in McHenry....might be close to you.
There is a shuttle that leaves the Hampton Inn in McHenry on Rte 31 almost every 2 hours.
I think the line is Vangalder.
If you call the front desk there, they will be able to help you.

HI Guys, she arrives this friday. I decided to pick her up myself from the airpot but on her return trip, we are take the metra to go into the city, shop and spend the night and then I'll put her on the orange line to midaway.

I think that will work.

Thanks for the great tips because I have a high number of repeat visitors and it's nice to know that there are shuttles out there. It gets expensive and time consuming to make round trips to the airports every couple of weeks.

I live near Richmond IL and that Mchenry shuttle sounds awesome. Also isn't here now a metra to Ohare?

The Metra North Central line, that runs between Antioch and Union Station, stops at O'Hare. It only runs Monday-Friday.
