houston (near Reliant Stadium/Rice University) restaurants

We would love to find a good restaurant nearby. We don't want to drive too far because of all the traffic here for the rodeo.
Thanks so much!!!

There are many, many good restaurants in the area around Rice University (including the Rice Village, Kirby areas). What type of food are you looking for?

Here's some, though:
Benjy's (American, w/an Asian slant)
Raven Grill (American)
Prego (Italian)
El Meson (Mexican/cuban)
Goode Company (Barbeque)
Cafe Rabelais (French)

You can look up these restaurants on houston.citysearch.com. Heres' a link to a listing of restaurants in the Rice Village area: http://houston.citysearch.com/roundu...5___roundup__1

Thank you so much for the info. We ate at Goode Company Seafood last night and will choose one of the others for our evening meal this evening.

Also in the Rice Village: Nit Noi Thai.

And I second the Benjy's recommendation.

I'd also consider hopping on MetroRail and going downtown for dinner. You'll have some better choices there --- Bossa (Cuban), Saba (Caribbean/seafood), Bank at the Hotel Icon (very expensive, formal, but excellent food), and more.

Good luck!

If you take light rail you might also consider restaurants in Midtown like T'afia, Julia's Bistro and Breakfast Klub. All three are close to each other and near a stop.
