Another follow up on the restaurants downtown: Just got back from the All-Star Game festivities. Ate at Irma's Southwest Grill for lunch on Sunday. It was WONDERFUL. My son had the mexican combo plate was a cheese enchilada (best I have had) beef fajita and shrimp taco. My husband and I had the Chilean Sea Bass on a bed of grilled veggies with a wonderful light sauce. The house Chardonney was also very good. Topped it off with a piece of Tres Leche cake. It is only open for lunch from what i hear but the sister restaurant is open for dinner if I remember correctly.

Also went to Mark's for lunch. Had been there several times for dinner and I still hold it is the best in the city. The lunch was quite pleasant and a lot less noisy than dinner. The three of us had the snapper special, Chef Mark's steak salad and the beef tenderloin. Started it with a seafood bisque, fresh tomato salad and chicken veggie soup. Finished with a banana creme dessert, the chocolate cake and ice cream and fresh berries in a lovely light tart shell. It never disappoints and the fresh fish special of the day is the route to take if you ask me.
