We would like to rent a four bedroom house in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area at the end of April or beginning of May and wondered if anyone knew of any reputable agencies that handle this kind of rental.

You could try www.VRBO.com, vacationrentals.com, or do a search for "vacation rentals by owner" with the town you are interested in. These are vacation rentals by owner, and may be less expensive rather than going through a rental agency. Good luck to you!

I have had great luck with vrbo.com for almost every vacation we've taken! Try it! Many of the sites have availability calendars and helpful info about the place you're visiting. We have used the rentals in Mexico, the Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic.

I have also used vrbo.com and had good success.

resortquest (resortquest.com) rents in that area - I've rented from them in North & South Carolina many times - never had a problem, and the properties have been uniformly excellent and "as advertised."

You may want to contact Chuck Lesser and Assoc. in Scottsdale for vacation rentals. (Keyword: Lessermeansmore on the internet.) We went through him years ago and found him to be very reputable. Been in business for years. We also enjoyed our vacation rental very much.
