House in Kauai
Anyone personally rented a house in Kauai? I have checked many websites but would like to hear from someone who has stayed at a nice house or cottage. (Looking for 2 weeks in January 08). Any personal experiences?
Just need a one bedroom, private area, near or withing walking distance of the beach would be great. Trying to stay around $200 per night.
Thanks,
BJ

I rented a wonderful ond bedroom cottage in Hanalei for about two weeks. It was a great place, not luxe mind you, but in a great, fairly private location. It had a killer front lanai. Post an email address and I'll send you the link.

BJ, I have rented in both the Poipu area and North Shore. Keep in mind the winter surf conditions on the North shore and decide if that is a factor. The surf and sun are friendlier on the south shore during Jan.

We staying in a 1 bedroom right on Hanalei Bay. It was very comfortable and the view of the bay was gorgeous. Could walk into Hanalei. http://www.aloha.net/~seek/index.html
