Hotwire/Priceline car rental help

Has anyone used Hotwire or Priceline for car rentals? Any suggestions, problems encountered, or help of any kind will be appreciated. Thanks.

Use hotwire all the time with no problems. Not sure what you are asking.

Asking if anyone has had problems with car of choice not being available when you arrive to get it.

Car of choice is often not available, even when you book directly with car rental companies. They often give you bigger car, [worse gas mileage] as many people prefer smaller ones.

Are you talking about some "special" class of rental {SUV, luxury etc} or just a particular regular size [compact, intermediate etc]?

4 adults so we need big suv or mini-van. We're not known to travel light, unfortunately!

I've used priceline frequently for car rentals, and have never had a problem

We have used Hotwire many times and have never had a problem getting the car of our choice other than the agent trying to talk us into taking a bigger car. We always decline and that is the end of that.
