Hotest Hotel in LA

What is the hotel of the moment in Los Angeles? What trendy hotel is also not too expensive?

The Standard on Sunset Blvd. is probably what you're looking for. Rooms facing Sunset are least expensive (around $145)and are not as noisy as you would think. Decor is sleek retro. Twenty-four hour coffee shop in lobby gets lots of press. Pool has blue astroturf decking and great view. Overall, a good location and a good buy.

F.W.,
John is right. THE STANDARD is the hottest spot right now and is not terribly expensive. The coffee shop is always mentioned as having terrific food at reasonable prices, also. Great location, too.

Does anyone know the web address for this hotel? Or a contact number?

Some other places to look at are "W" (newly opened and very hot LA bar scene right in your lobby) and "Mondrian" (same thing). Both are about 20-30 minutes from the beach (most people think LA is all one big beach but things are very spread out).

'Hottest Hotel in LA'?

I would say one which has full, direct sun exposure and no a/c or fans.
I'm unsure which is "hotest"? :-0
