Hotels with childcare in New York

My husband and I are thinking of a city break with our two children in the new year. We would ideally like a hotel in central New York that had a Creche or kids club for a 6 year old and a 2 year old. Any suggestions?

Well, The Plaza had great kids programs.

I'd suggest hiring a nanny for your stay.

I think only the really upper echelon hotels (Carlyle, St. Regis etc) would have those programs. I could be wrong.

Let me rephrase that.

Contact an agency that specializes in hotel nanny services. I know they exist, just don't know of them.

Although New York gets millions of tourists the 4 and 5* hotels are aimed mainly at business travelers. And the 3* are unlikely to have anything in the way of such a program - to keep costs down. There really aren't any resorts.

I searched hotels.com which allows you to pick amenities and it said there are no hotels in NYC with children's programs. They may well be correct.

I think GoTravel is right - you will need to hire a nanny - or bring your nanny or au pair with you.

Or leave the kids at home. If you are going to bring them, then stick them in a Children's program or with a babysitter, why bother?
