Hotels/Motels around intersection of I-85 and I-285

I am planning a trip to the Peach Bowl New Years Eve. Looking for a moderately priced accommodation in this area. Also, is it easy to get from there to the Georgia Dome via car? Thanks in advance for any help.

Those highways intersect both north and south of Atlanta (I-285 is a loop). Which side are you referring to?

Barbara--
An easy way to get to the GA Dome is by train, MARTA. It's a cheap and convenient way to go.

Don't stay down by the airport. There's nothing down there. Good locations to check out are Midtown and Buckhead. You could also consider staying by the Perimeter Mall. This area is not far from Spaghetti Junction, where 285 and 85 meet on the top end, and is probably a little less expensive than staying inside 285. Perimeter Mall area has several MARTA stations nearby, so you would be close to that, places to eat and shop, and only about 10 min. to Buckhead which is better for nightlife.

Debbie

The intersection at the North end.

Stay at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia, W Hotel or Marriot Perimeter Center and you can walk to MARTA and take the train to the game. Drivng to the Dome is not a good idea if you don't know Atlant and driving on New Years is dumb. Why do you want to stay at 85/285? The nightlife is not there.

For moderately priced try Summerfield Suites in Brookhaven (near Lenox mall).

Thanks to all for the info. Jill, the only reason for picking 85/285 is because we are traveling with another couple and that is the concensus of the four of us - we are not looking for nite life (the game is enough for us!) Anyway, I appreciate the responses. Happy Holidays to all......
