Hotels in Tucson
I would like to have any good thoughts about great hotels/resorts in Tucson. I enjoy all types fom large resorts to small boutique type of hotels. Plan to visit sometime soon and have never been to Tucson before.

Budget?

200.00-300. A night would be nice

Marriott's Star Pass is fabulous. The view from the patio overlooking the valley at night is spectacular. The restaurants and bar were all to our liking as well.
Westin La Paloma is another gem. Great pool area and fine restaurants. La Paloma is closer to the prime restaurant and shopping areas. Room rates vary significantly depending on events and season. Shop hard. |
We loved the Starr Pass, Westin is nice also. If money is an issue you could bid for resorts in Priceline. Need to know the rules though.

One more enthusiastic vote for Marriott Starr Pass. We've stayed there several times. It's wonderful.

Another vote for Starr Pass. Stayed at Westin several years back, it was in need of overhaul at that time- not sure if it got one.

Starr Pass is nice, but there isn't anything around it.
My choices would be: 1. Hacienda del Sol http://www.haciendadelsol.com/ 2. Westward Look 3. Ventana Canyon 4. La Paloma 5. Starr Pass 6. El Con |
We liked that the Starr Pass was rather out of the way, but that is our preference. With a car, it was easy enough to get to where ever you want to go. The sunsets were worth the drive.

I have to agree with Mike. Star Pass itself is nice, but location not so much. IMO it'd be better to be closer to the Catalinas. Hacienda del Sol will give you the best taste of the Southwest.
