Hotels in Santa Monica with spacious rooms

My husband and I will be travelling to Santa Monica in a few weeks with our two kids, ages fiteen and six. Which hotel would be the better choice for standard rooms, Loews, Le Merigot or Casa del Mar? Price is not as important as comfort and space. I hear that the rooms at Shutters are very small.

I'd go with the Huntley as well. The restaurant is very trendy.

We found the Viceroy good for room size, location and amenities.
