Hotels close to Wrigley Field
 

Are there any hotels in walking distance to Wrigley? If not what is relatively close using public transportation? Hate to limit my options based on price alone. Once I know the hotel names I can check on prices.

the Chicago public transit is one of the best in the country so you don't need to stay near Wrigley.

mztery is right. The el's red line drops you off just steps away from Wrigley. There are probably 50 or more hotels in just about every price range within three blocks of its stops. Start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Lin...nsit_Authority) Familiarize yourself with the stops between Lake and Addison, then check for hotels along that route. Go Cubs!

Search the travel sites for hotels in the River North/Magnificent Mile area or in The Loop. River North/Mag Mile are accessible to the Grand Ave or Chicago Ave stops on the Red Line. The Loop contains the Lake, Madison and Jackson stops.

There are a few hotels close to Wrigley, but if you're going to be doing other things during your visit, they don't make sense as all the tourist sights are downtown. The closest hotels are City Suites, Majestic (not Hampton Inn Majestic) and Best Western Hawthorne Terrace. There's also a Days Inn about a half mile south on Diversey at Clark.

We liked the Best Western Hawthorne Terrace. Very nice boutique hotel.

Yes, Days Inn on Diversey and on up Clark is Heart O Chicago motel.

There is a new hotel that opened near us, Hotel Lincoln at 1816 N Clark Street. It is a boutique hotel with a popular restaurant on the first floor.

Rooms look to be about $190/night.

Its 2 miles from Wrigley. You can catch the 22 bus directly across from the hotel and it will take you to Clark and Addison - right in front of Wrigley.

There is a farmers market on Wednesday and Sat across from the hotel, and you will be in the old town neighborhood which is hopping. Its about 1.5 mile from Michigan Ave. The hotel is also across from the Lincoln Park Zoo and near North Ave beach.

There is a rooftop bar thats not yet open (late July) but looks like it wold be fun too.
