Hotels by Kenmore Square
 

Will be in Boston in June for three nights to settle daughter into BU dorm. Have been advised to look for a hotel near Kenmore Square. Recommendations would be appreciated - preferably around $150 per night.

above is kendall square, not kenmore.

In kenmore, the buckminster is convenient, though receives mixed reviews. There is a Hojos? in the fenway (I believe) And if you can get a good deal on the Eliot, it is around a 10 minute walk (though located on the eastern edge of back bay)

I graduated from BU a few years ago. What college is she going to? I went to COM.
Stay away from the Howard Johnson's across from the school of Communication. It's a dump and is sometimes used as a dorm when Warren Towers runs out of space.
Most of the downtown hotels are easy to get to, maybe three stops on the Green line. I would stay downtown and take the "T" in to BU.
