Hotel with large rooms in Union Square or EV area

Hi all-
I had a trip planned for late May, staying in a 2-BR suite at The Kimberly with my wife and two teenage girls. Unfortunately, my wife is having ankle surgery Friday, so I have to reschedule.

Now, thinking of going the first week in August, before school starts back up. I've been rethinking staying in Midtown, we used to live in the East Village, and I think most of our time will be spent in the village, soho, chinatown, etc. except for some shopping and museum time uptown.

Are there any hotels in the EV or Union Square areas where I can get a 2Br suite with large rooms like the Kimberly?

Thanks

No.

The only large hotel in the areas you mention is the W Union Square. They probably have suites but won't be like the Kimberly. You could try to find an apartment rental. I know people have rented apts. at highrise right where Klein's used to be. At this moment I can't think of the exact address (I think it's Irving Plaza).

This co. has several locations in the area

In a word, no. There are very few (if any) hotels in the EV area and most of the ones in Union Square have small rooms -- like the W. Stick with the Kimberly, I've heard it's nice.

The hi rise I was thinking of is Zeckendorf Towers at 1 Irving Plaza. I can't find any vacation rentals for it online, though people have mentioned staying there. You won't find any proper apt/hotels with daily maid service etc. downtown. There are lots of options besides the Kimberly, but they'd all be midtown or uptown.

If you want to stay downtown, you might consider the Embassy Suites. It's down in the financial district but nice for a summer stay. Also, you might find a good deal at one of the big hotels down there like the Ritz Carlton Battery Park or the Millenium Hilton, both of which have pools I think.

There are also some apt. rentals in Battery Park City listed on furnished quarters. This co.

also has a building in BPC with vacation rentals.

Thansk, I think I'll stick with The Kimberly. I can get the Diplomat suite, with two bedrooms for a fairly good rate. It's close to the subway and across the street from ess-a-bagel.

Thanks for the help.
