Hotel Suite Brands with Multiple Bedrooms?
What we're hoping for is a hotel that has a separate bedroom (a door that closes) from the seating area while hopefully spending as little as possible. This is so we can put down the baby earlier than we'd go to bed, not to mention that we are travelling with 4 kids total. So many of the "suite" hotels turn out to be one room, with a couch along with the bed. Not helpful in our case.
I have no idea which hotel chains usually have such a layout. I'm looking for chains to investigate, but don't know where to start. Specifically, we're going to San Antonio (Sea World of course). |

Embassy Suites - just about every one that I've been in (can't think of one that wasn't)
Some Hilton Garden Inns and Homewood Suites. Residence Inn. Some SpringHill Suites. |

We like Homewood Suites, which has one- and two-bedroom suites with kitchen. They serve breakfast every day and kid-friendly supper Monday through Thursday. Enjoy. HTTY |

When you make your reservation be sure to tell the res agent you want a full one bedroom suite, not a studio suite, which is what you described. Most of the Suite hotels have full one bedroom suites, but you need to reserve the right kind. Usually about 70% of their rooms are studio with the remaining one or two bedroom suites. Homewood Suites is a good reasonable choice, as is a one bedroom suite at a Hampton Inn & Suites. Also many hotels will have connecting rooms so you can actually rent two rooms that are connected and price might not be much more than a one bedroom suite and certainly worth the extra price with three kids plus a baby. There are a bunch of new hotels at the Rim which is close to where you will be going. Might want to check there first.

We had the same problem recently and solved it by staying at a Homewood Suites. Just be sure to specify you need a unit with a door that closes.

We always stay at a Residence Inn and book the 2BR suite. Awesome--2 separate BRs with doors and a bath in each one. Plus a living room and kitchen. That way nobody has a bathroom emergency, we can go to bed at separate times and we can all be with the noisy or quiet sleepers of our choice!
