Is it wise to stay at one hotel in Maui or is the island big enough that we should plan on staying at certain areas during our stay?

You would get more replies if you wrote "Maui" in your headline.

How long you are staying on the island would make a huge difference if I would want to relocate. Anything 7 days or less, I would stay at the same place.

Agree with Golpher. If you're staying 7 days or more, I would split my visit up between Lahaina and Wailea or Lahaina and Hana, depending on what you want to do during your stay.

I also agree on the split if 7 days or more. I personally would choose Upcountry (Haiku, Makawao or Kula B&B's), and Lahaina.
