Hotel? San Francisco

Need hotel advise for December trip to San Francisco. Looking for nice 3 or 4 Star in the Union Square district. Around $100.00 per night. Something close to good dining and entertainment. I will bid priceline if the hotels that are most frequently issued are good choices. Please advise. Thanks

We got the Hilton at Union Square on priceline for $65.00 per night. After taxes & fees, cost us $75.00.

Good deal, nice room, close & convenient to shops & restaurants & local transportation.

I don't think you could go wrong with any 4**** hotels that priceline offers at Union Square.

Go to biddingfortravel.com and see what others have gotten in Union Square area and what they have paid.

Have fun -- we loved Union Square. ((b))

A very favorite of ours is the Andrews Hotel on Post Street
http://www.andrewshotel.com/ They have a sister hotel next door the Fitgerald or Fitzpatrick..lol for less $.. but the Andrews offers a fabulous complimentary breakast buffet on each floor in the a.m. among other things..

You can EASILY get a 4* in Union Square for $100 on priceline. Like Budman says look at biddingfortravel.com and look at the San Francisco list. I would stick with Union Square East, Union Square West, and SOMA to get the area you are looking for.

I have stayed a couple of times at the Marriott SOMA through Priceline for $60. I really wasn't expecting much, but I was really surprised with how nice the rooms were-they were newly renovated and the hotel is within very easy walking distance to Union Square. I would definitely stay there again, especially at that rate. Check biddingfortravel.com but I think it has been a long time since a different 4* came up in this area (but of course its always a possibility). One last thing to keep in mind, parking is about $35 a night I think, but that is standard for SF hotels. Always factor parking into room rates if you are planning on driving into San Francisco. Have fun!

We just returned from San Francisco last week. We stayed at the Hilton on O'Farrel for five days. Got it on Priceline for $75 per night (king room, tower 3). It's a HUGE hotel, clean and well maintained. Centrally located to Union Square shopping, theaters and cable cars. The draw back is it takes you forever to reach your room. Last year stayed at the King George on Mason. It's much smaller and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were slightly small, but clean. I think they were remodeling.
