Hotel Royal

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? The rates are very low and the pics on their websight look great but.... I was looking on Trip advisor and it gets horrible reviews!

If all the reviews are bad I would never risk it.

I stayed at the Omni Royal New Orleans about 10 years ago, with a room overlooking the main street. The hotel was wonderful! Small restaurant for breakfast, excellent rib room. Good roof top pool. Slow lifts.

Have heard a few negative remarks about the rooms that look over the inner courtyard.

Old hotel with long standing reputation (James Bond reccommends it in Live and Let Die!!)

I'm with the folks who say to avoid it if the tripadvisor reviews are bad!

Also, the Omni Royal Orleans is fantastic. The Hotel Royal is a different property. Lots of NO hotels have "Royal" in the name!
