Hotel Recs for Pheonix/Scottsdale
 
For my husband's 40th birthday, I would like to send him to AZ for the FBR golf tournament in January/February 2009. I am completely unfamiliar with the area and there seem to be so many great resorts/hotels. Can anyone suggest a good place to stay for a bunch of 40 year old men who love to golf and eat/drink?

The Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains is adjacent to the TPC course. They won't have any trouble finding places to eat/drink nearby, either!

What about the Camelback Inn (JW Marriott)? If I remember correctly, there is a golf course on the property and they will bus you to another one. The hotel grounds are beautiful!!

The Westin Kierland and the Fairmont Princess are both really nice resorts that would work.
