hotel recommendations for Kansas City, MO?
 

Hi,

I'm looking for any hotel recommendations for hotels near I-70 & I-35 in KCMO, or more specifically near 31st & Jefferson and Penn Valley Community College. I did a google search, but I'm interested in any Fodorite recommendations. We're not looking for anything fancy, just clean. Prefer to be in a safe area and keep it under $100 a night as we won't be in the room much. Thinking about late Oct./Nov.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Phillips in downtown KC - I booked through Hotwire and got the room for $85/nt I think. Its an old hotel recently remodeled and our room was very nice-
like you- I only slept in the room.
Believe there are a couple of good restaurants close by but was there for a family event and didnt try them.

They just reopened the old President Hotel downtown after like $ 120 million upgrade. Check that out also.
