hotel recommendations?

Dear all,

In two weeks we will go to the west coast of the US for our honeymoon. Below you will find our travel scheme. Since there are so many hotels offers, we find it hard to make a selection. We would really appreciate hotel recommendations in any of the places we will stay. Our budget is between 100-175 US$ per night.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Congratulations on your wedding!

It would be helpful for you to list where you are flying into and out of, a bit more detail in order to help you better. This is a very large area to cover in two weeks and there will be restrictions. For example, many hotels in Carmel and Santa Barbara have a two or three night minimum on weekends and it is likely that Yosemite is already booked.

Have you been here before or do you need help with the whole trip plan, not just hotels suggestions?

You might even want to repost your questions with another title like, "California Itinerary help needed" or something like that to get more replies.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip! I just reposted my request with a different title. Would be great if you would have any suggestions.
Kind regards

Seaway Inn is a cute little hotel in Santa Cruz lodging near the Boardwalk:
http://www.seawayinn.com/. It’s right across the street from the Fabulous Dream Inn. We stayed at the Dream Inn at the tail end of the remodel but after they finished the remodel we couldn’t afford it anymore and we stayed at the Seaway. We thought it was a nice little place. The B & B next door though is spectacular. You might be able to find a special for the place and I would suggest that.

You can see the Seaway in the picture of the West Cliff Inn too.

For Yosemite try to stay in the Valley so arrange through www.yosemitepark.com.
If you can’t stay there then try close by El Portal at the Yosemite View. It’s right oin the Merced River.

We just came back from our babymoon 2 weeks ago... and were gone 16 days...
We have some that are on your list, here are mine..
Hotels:
Napa Valley: Gaia Napa Valley Hotel ($100)
San Francisco: Columbus Motor Inn ($100 with free parking)
Yosemite Valley: The Homestead (more than $200 a night but hey have less expensive rooms, it was awesome, about 30 min frm Mariposa Grove and 50 min from Yosemite Village)
Las Vegas: Bellagio (more than $200 a night, SO worth it!, don't go weekend, but make sure you're there a weekday... Venetian is nice also... love the location of Bellagio, even Paris, in the middle of the strip... We stayed at Mandalay before, amazing pool...
Sedona: Sedona Real Inn & Suites ($175)
Grand Canyon: Tusayan Holiday Inn Express Suite ($150) you can get a regular room also. about 10 min from the park...
Bryce Canyon: Best Western Ruby Inn ($125 internet special)
Moab: Best Western Greenwill Inn near Canyonlands ($120)

Plus or minus on the room rates.. check online also for specials..

We enjoyed all of them and had no complaints! Best 2 places were Bellagio and The Homestead... you can check my trip report if you would like more info.... We did Sacramento-Napa-San Francisco-Yosemite-Las Vegas-Sedona-Grand Canyon- Bryce-Moab-Salt Lake City-Rapid City... We did our trip in 16 days... but not as many places as you... http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...yce-canyon.cfm
