hotel reccomendations for nyc october

Hi! I absolutely love NYC. Went there quite a while back and am desperately looking fwd to going Oct this year. I've found some stuff. Any suggestions for something for about $200 to $250 a night near Cent park or mid town? Planning for 10/6-10/10. I know I'm looking for the unthinkable in price, since I'd also like quality and thriftyness. :D
How is the "hilton club" timeshare and the "manhattan club" timeshare? looking for timeshare rentals or hotel.
need whatever advice I can glean. ty

Look for reviews for both the timeshares and regular hotels on tripadvisor.com Manhattan Club is good but you'll have a hard time finding it for under $250/night.

The Eastgate Tower is available on quikbook.com within your budget. It's an Affinia hotel (all suites) in midtown. Not fancy, more like an apartment, but fine.

Try Apple Core Hotels.

That's a tough order to you might find something in your budget.

Doing a quick search, you may be able to squeeze $275 if you only have two people.

If you have four people, you really need to up your budget to about $300.

Okay, the W New York has a $279 per night special (it is cheaper than the Milford Plaza Hotel) for your dates for a queen bed but it is prepay only.

I'd jump all over that!

I've seen several manhattan clubs for $250/night. One for $200/night. It's just a good friend of mine and I who are going. I'm trying to take in consideration the hight taxes on hotels as well. Ty for your responses. I was at first considering only hotels...then thought of timeshares.

You should read reviews of the W New York before getting all excited. Only good if you and friend are very good friends. Some rooms are the size of a shoe box.

I'd prefer the Manhattan Club location too.

The W New York rooms are very small. Think cozy and romantic, with no place to put your luggage.
But, we had a large, spacious room with 2 queens at the W Tuscany when we took our kids.
We have stayed in many W hotels, and have been really happy.

How about the Red Roof Inn on W 32nd St. I have a friend who stays there every year and likes it a lot.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Hotel Grand Union. It is on a quiet street, but close to Herald Square and lots of restaurants close by. The subway is just a block away and the bus goes up Madison Ave and down Park AVe.

The website is www.hotelgrandunion.com it is on E32nd St. and should be right in your price requirements.

Also check www.hotels.com for more suggestions.

I stayed at this furnished apartment/timeshare right in the Times Square area for $250/night and could not have been happier with my stay. It was so convenient to everything and the apartment looked brand new. It had a gorgeous kitchen, a marble bath and a plasma tv. Not too bad for $250 a night! Check out the site:
