Hotel Picks - Kauai
I have heard both the Grand Hyatt and Koa Kea are both very nice. We are going on a babymoon to K'auai and curious what people think is better. I am leaning towards the Grand Hyatt but would like to know all your thoughts.

If it was me, I'd choose the Koa Kea. It is smaller, more intimate, has a swimming beach right in front of the hotel. Also, the restaurant there, Red Salt, is excellent. That said, the Grand Hyatt is very nice.

Two entirely different things. The Koa Kea is small and intimate, the Grand Hyatt is big and “grand”. Think “boutique” v “resort”, then decide which style you want. Both are very nice hotels.

Both are lovely resorts..
Grand Hyatt just for the salt water lagoon to swim all day in. |
Resorts your style then Grand Hyatt - more to do
Boutiques then Koa Kea more intimate but not muchactivity Personally I love the Grand Hyatt. Spent a couple of anniversaries there but be sure to eat at Red Salt regardless. |
