Hotel OCEANA in Santa Barbara

Does anyone have a recent review of this hotel, since it's fairly new I would love to know what you thought or even what room you stayed in with some details.

Thanks

Do you mean the Hotel Oceana in Santa Monica?

If so, it's a fabulous hotel.

Just saw a review someplace (maybe LA Magazine) and it was very favorable.

We stayed there last month. It was in a great location. Right on the beach and walking distance to State street. That is about all I can say that was good. We stayed in a garden view room (since we were only there for one night for a wedding we didn't want to spend the $ for ocean view) but the term garden is questionable more like a patch of grass. Our room was right next to some alley way where anytime you were in the bathroom you felt like people could jump right in. Since there were constantly people back there. The worst was the size of the room. We fell down lauging when we walked in. The end of the bed was literally 10 inches away from the armoire (where the TV/Closet are kept). I'm not kidding--it was unbelievable how close they were. My husband and I could barely walk through to get to the other side of the room. And we are both pretty small people. If we were there for more than one night we would have changed room or hotels (if the other rooms where just as bad). There were also little flying bugs all over our room. We travel often and this was definitely not one of more memorable places that we've stayed. Maybe the other rooms are better but for the prices I don't think that any of them are worth it. Hope this helps! Usually I would only post positive comments on a place but this was a pretty bad experience.

I'm just curious if you remember how much you paid?
