Hotel Novotel in NYC?

Has anyone had any experience with staying at the Hotel Novotel in NYC? Good? Bad? Mediocre? It is a little pricey for my budget, but if it's worth it, I'm okay with it.

I can't find any reviews of this hotel anywhere.

Thank you.
I've been in the lobby and am not impressed. Attracts many foreign tourists but if you are paying over $150 you can probably do better. The view of Times Square from the window of their restaurant can't be beat.

Cath - the downstairs entry area that Frank refers to is only the entrance to the elevators... the Hotel lobby is actually 14 stories above the street... I have stayed there and found it to be above average for location, service, and ambiance. It is just off the main area of Times Square and very close to the theatre action... If the price is right...grab it! You may also want to check the Crowne Plaza on Broadway... a very similar property right on Times Square... if you can get a similar or better price... take the Crowne Plaza, if not...Novotel is great.

Garyt: I was referring to the 14th floor lobby, still not impressed, it all depends on the price. Not having stayed at either, I would take the Crowne Plaza based on the public spaces of the two hotels.

I found it to be rather "sterile" -- but clean. I was there several years ago though.
