Hotel Novotel

Has anyone stayed at the Novotel? Is it a nice place, good location, etc?

Where?

Yes, Novotel is good, very good, but not for a whole week. All the Novotels look almost the same. It are hotels style Holiday Inn; no nonsens bedrooms with bathroom. They have a swimming pool, and the food is ok, but not gastronomic. Mostly the hotels are situated at the exit of a highway (good for businesspeople in transit)and in the neighbourhood of touristic attractions (like Disneyland etc.) They also have familyrooms for parents and 2 children.Children until 15 have free breakfast.<BR>It are good hotels for short stays.

Novotel is just basic accomodation. Nothing special in the way of amenities and usually outside the city center. Their prices are lower than a Marriott or Hyatt but more than Holiday Inn. The previous poster asked the germane question. My response is for Novotel generically.

I know this is the US board but we stayed in Novetels in Germany last year. We had been staying at Zimmers but after 9-11 we needed the comfort of the familiar. Each one the same, English TV stations, Breakfast each morning. Reasonable price
