Hi Fodorites
I live in the Bay Area & will be attending a wedding near the Presidio at the end of October. Normally we would drive home but the wedding is ending very late & we are considering staying over in the city. Any hotel suggestions?

Hotel Drisco is in a great location near the Presidio on Pacific Ave. You can walk down the Lyon St. steps to the edge of the Presidio, to the Palace of Fine Arts and to the wonderful Chestnut St. Neighborhood full of shops, coffee shops, restaurants and a theater. That said, the Presidio is huge, so you may need your car, especially if the wedding is in the Presidio chapel.

Almost any of the establishments along Lombard would be within walking distance of the Presidio Social Club.

There is at least one relatively new place located on the Presidio itself (it gets good review and see below)- and I also like the Coventry Motor Inn on Lombard, or one of it's sister hotels.
