Hotel near Chase field, Sedona and Grand Canyon

Hi
I am going to travel to Arizona starting on Sept. 30. We are arriving in Phoenix .My husband and I would like to see a diamondback game on Saturday the 30 th. We would leave the next morning to go to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Does any one know a hotel that is near the ballpark ? It's only one night. I don't need an expensive hotel just clean and safe. Also any lodging suggestions for Sedona and he and canyon would be appreciated!

At the Grand Canyon you want lodging inside the park. Here are the links. If nothing is available, call every day because cancellations happen frequently:

5 lodges: http://www.grandcanyonlodges.com/
Yavapai Lodge: http://www.visitgrandcanyon.com/yavapai-lodge

In and around Sedona, there is lodging for every budget, so that is really the driving factor. You will be driving everywhere, so no single location would be considered "best". But if you want to be able to walk to shops and some restaurants, you would want to look at uptown Sedona or on 179 just below the "Y" (the intersection of 179 and 89a) or in the Village of Oak Creek.

Can't help at all with Phoenix.

In Sedona, if you want something just a bit out of the way, but still close to uptown, check out Sky Ranch Lodge. It is near the top of airport mesa and has great views from the property and from some of the rooms. Not sure if it fits your budget, but worth checking out:

There's a wonderful place near the field called Greentree Inn and Suites. I've stayed there twice and was very pleased.
