Hotel near Aurora for one evening?

Traveling alone and looking for a clean hotel to sleep for one night before a conference the next day, in a safe area, near Aurora. I have Starwood and Hilton hotel cards, but am unfamiliar with the area. Thanks.

Are you talking about Aurora Hwy in Seattle? Or is Aurora a city?

Aurora, IL, suburb of Chicago. Sorry for any confusion. Please help!

Check Naperville for another city selection.

I second Naperville or maybe Oakbrook-it has alot of choices and is about 30 mins away.

I found a Hampton Inn in Naperville, 1087 Diehl Road. Is that a safe area? Good price!

Carol, there are a lot of office buildings along Diehl in that area, and a few hotels -- not a lot of activity at night, but I'd consider it to be pretty safe. There is an entertainment complex with large movie theater and several restaurants at the corner of Diehl and Winfield, about a mile away. And you would be about a mile north of downtown Naperville, which has lots of dining options. I don't know which part of Aurora you are going to, but the Aurora exits are about 8-10 miles further west on I88.

I used to work in the area, and our guests would stay near this hotel at the Hyatt Lisle, or the Wyndham Garden or Hilton just off the Naperville Rd. exit.
