HOTEL MONACO vs HOTEL REX SAN FRAN.
 

Has anyone ever stayed at either of these hotels?

AD,<BR><BR>I have stayed at the Hotel Monaco and absolutely loved it. Great "boutique" hotel with friendly staff and stylish rooms. Also has a great corner bar attached (I think it's called The Grand Cafe) and wine and cheese ofered each arternoon. If you go and they're not booked, barter for a top floor suite with jacuzzi and living room...the best!<BR><BR>Enjoy your trip,<BR><BR>Davidcs

I toured the Hotel Rex and looked at several of their rooms. If I ever go back to SF, I would like to stay there. It had a great sense of style and character, and the employees were wonderful! Very friendly and accomodating.

Stayed at the Monaco last June. Very satisfied. Stylish and friendly. Good location. Have not stayed at Rex.

Stayed at the Hotel Monaco and really liked it. Very friendly and helpful staff, very nice rooms and a resturant there in the hotel that really seems great (we just had brunch so I can't really comment on dinner).
