John: I beg to differ. I work in One Shell Square. My office window looks into the Hotel Monaco. It has been open for about two weeks now. Dropped by the lobby last week. Very eclectic, funky. The restaurant (Cobalt, directed by Susan Spicer, yum yum) was not open, but may be now. No word on what its like though.

I stand corrected! I haven't been down there in a couple of weeks.

Could any one inform me if Susan Spicer's Bayonna restaurant is still open. Walked by there in August and her sign was down. Hope not!!

It's definitely open. The restaurant was adding a new roof and doing some other renovation work. Maybe this is why the sign was down. Also, it could have just been their annual vacation break. August is usually the month when N.O. restaurants close for a holiday.
