Hotel Latham in Georgetown

On quickbook.com I can get the Latham Hotel located on 3000 M Street, NW
Washington, DC for $139, has anyone stayed there? Is it a good location, would we be able to walk to the metro?

Metrorail would be a far walk. There is a Georgetown Shuttle and buses which could take you around.

I've stayed there, it's a nice hotel and a good location within Georgetown. The drawback is that there's no metro stop in Georgetown so it's a bit of a hike to the nearest stop.

By a "bit of a walk," we are talking 10-15 minutes depending on how quickly you walk.

If it's only a 10 minute walk that doesnt't seem bad, the price is wonderful. These days you have to walk everywhere anyways, I'm sure we'll be doing a lot of walking in DC no matter what. I'm certainly going to keep this place in mind, everything else is a fortune.

According to wmata.com it is 0.69 miles from 3000 M ST NW to FOGGY BOTTOM METRO STATION (blue and orange lines) and, according to hopstop.com, 0.82 miles to the Dupont Circle Metro Station (south entrance) (red line)
