hotel in walkable area near Ventura/Oxnard
 

Hello, My husband has business in Oxnard, and our 2 small children and I are going with him. We're looking for a hotel that would be in a walkable area (ideally near a playground) so that the kids & I can entertain ourselves while he is working. Any suggestions?

How about the Crowne Plaza in Ventura? It used to be the Holiday Inn and has been renovated. It is right on the beach, by the pier, and I think there is a playground there. You can also walk to downtown Ventura from there.

Yes, the Crowne Plaza would be good, and Ventura is a nice little town.

However, there are many more hotel options in Oxnard and some of them may be near the beach. I don't know.
