hotel in St Louis over 4th of July

We are thinking of going to St. Louis over the 4th. Are there fireworks over the arch?
We are thinking of staying near the arch. Does anyone have suggestions? I looked up the Drury on raves and people mainly gave rants.
Thanks

The best hotel downtown (by far) is the Westin.
Next to Busch Stadium.
Yas there are fireworks.

There's also an Adam's Mark downtown that has a great view of the arch from its concierge floor. If you can book there, it should be a good place to watch the fireworks.

Start looking for hotel rooms now. St. Louis has a huge festival over the 4th. It used to be called the VP Fair, VP for Veiled Prophet, but now it's something else.

Other downtown hotels are the Radisson, the Millenium, Marriott Pavilion, Sheraton and a new Renaissance opening in Feb.

There are another Drury and a Hyatt at Union Station.

LaClede's landing which is a short walk north of the Arch has an Embassy Suites.

If you can't find reasonable hotel options due to the festival, you might consider the airport. The MetroLink light rail is incredibly easy to use. $4 gets you an all day pass.

Just to chime in.

The Drury is the best. However I don't know if it has many Arch view rooms.
Skip the Adams Mark. It's really in need of a lot of renovation. Same for the Marriott.
The Millenium has recently been renovated and has some great views of the Arch.
There is a brand new Hampton Inn on Washington Ave. 2 blocks from the Arch that should be open by March or April. (I just checked and they want $129 for a room over that weekend: TAKE IT!)

There's also the brand new Renaissance Grand at the Convention center that is about 6 blocks away.
