Hotel in Northside Chicago
 

Hello, can anyone suggest a hotel in the Northside of Chicago near Boys Town? Hawthorne Terrace and Villa-Toscana are booked... Cheers, Ben

Try the City Suites Inn on Belmont. Good location. Decent enough room.

Boystown is a quick ride on the Red Line from downtown, where the selection of hotels is huge.

Have you considered staying near North Michigan Ave/Streeterville? Even a hotel in the Loop would be a quick ride, and the Red Line runs 24/7.

The company that owns City Suites also has 2 other properties, The Willows and The Majestic. There's also a Days Inn on Clark and Diversey.

Ben, the Majestic Hotel is located on the 500 block of West Brompton.

This is *not* the Hampton Majestic, which is in the Loop.

I cannot recommend it because I've never been inside it, but am mentioning it to you. It seems to get good reviews on Tripadvisor.

The Inn at Lincoln Park at Clark and Diversey is a close walk and in a great neighborhood location.

As others have said:
- Lincoln Park Inn and Days Inn, both at Clark/Broadway and Diversey.
- The Willow at Surf and Clark (about a block from the first two).
- City Suites (the closest to Boys Town. It's right next to the El stop, which might be noisy).
- Any of the hotels in the Loop/River North.

Ben, you should be aware that Boystown is a fairly large area, covering quite a few blocks.

The last poster indicated that City Suites is the closest to Boystown. However, ALL of the mentioned hotels, etc., are IN Boystown - with the exceptions of those specifically indicated as those being in the Loop/River North and the Inn at Lincoln Park, which is actually in the neighborhood of Lincoln Park (as opposed to the Boystown neighborhood of Lakeview) by merely being on the south side of Diversey instead of the north side.

If you are looking for the hotel which is the closest to the Best Western Hawthorne Terrace and Villa Toscana (those two are one block apart), it is the Majestic Hotel (about 3 blocks northeast from the Best Western Hawthorne Terrace). City Suites, which is located near the Belmont El station is about 4 blocks southwest from the Villa Toscana.
