Hotel in Maui

Does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel in Maui? We want to stay not too far from Lahaina, maybe Napili or Kaanapali? Our price range needs to be under $200 a night perferably closer to $150?, if that is possible to get in a decent hotel. We are looking for a place that is not real old, and run down, but that is decent, and clean, and on the beach. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, we will be going to Kaanapali Shores soon. It is in Honokowaii, that is about 3-4 miles north of Lahaina. We take a condo which is wonderful. This is a roomy condo with a full kitchen, washer & dryer, very nice accomodations. We love it, we have been there many times recently. To research it , go to Aston Hotels. Hopefully, you will like it as well.

Chicarubia, your stated preferences include "on the beach". The Kaanapli Shores is on a beach but it is nor a very good beach. If a great beach is important to you you should be in the Kaanapali Resort area.

Rusty, Yes we would like to stay on a nice beach. Do you have any suggestions on places to stay where there is a nice beach? Thanks for your input

The best beaches in west Maui are Kapalua Bay, Napili Bay, and Kaanapali Beach. The first two are less busy and more peaceful, while Kaanapali has far more people and is close to all the action. Which do you prefer?

Why don't you just go to bidding for travel.com and see what hotels come up for the area you want, and just bid cheaply for a nice 4 star on the beach vis Priceline! You can save alot of money w/ Priceline this way and get more hotel than you could normally afford.

Good luck,

Well we would like to stay where it is peaceful and less busy. We could always go to where there is more action to do things. It would be nice to stay where there was less people.
