hotel in Juneau

My family (3 generations -- 2 young kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents) will be in Juneau for 2 nights in July prior to taking our small boat cruise. We'd like a nice, centrally located hotel, and are wondering about the Hotel Goldbelt, which was recommended by the cruise company. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Rachel, did you read reviews on Trip Advisor?

thanks for the suggestion; the reviews make it sound pretty bad. Are there any other hotels in Juneau that might be better? Thanks!

Try Best Western Grandma‘s Feathered Bed. Gets great reviews and I had some friends staying there for four nights last August. They loved it. It is a small place and not a typical Best Western. Because it is a very small and popular place make your reservations very soon. There are, I think, only 15 rooms.

I haven't read the reviews, but we stayed at the Goldbelt prior to a cruise and it was just fine. Very comfortable, nice lounge, helpful staff.
