Hotel in downtown Denver
 

I will be traveling with the family to Denver in early August.

Would someone please recommend an upscale hotel in downtown Denver.

I will be attending an event at Invesco Field.

I don't know that there's anything right next to Invesco Field, but two favorites are the Brown Palace and Hotel Teatro.

The downtown area is pretty compact and accessible. You might try bidding on PriceLine for a downtown 4* hotel.

If you're with children, am guessing you'll want a pool. That lets out Hotel Monaco, one of my favorites. The Westin is great and has a rooftop indoor/outdoor pool that my kids like.

I stayed at the Teatro last December. Very nice rooms, elegant bathrooms, superb service, excellent restaurant. Pricey. Good location.
