Hotel help for Seattle?
Hi there,
I'll be visiting and attending a conference in Seattle March 18-25. There are three hotels through the conference that I am considering: The Seattle Hilton, The Sheration Hotel and Towers, and The Hyatt. Any advice on which one to chose? I was leaning toward the Sheraton (a bit cheaper than the Hyatt plus it has a pool) until I heard about the construction. Does anyone know how far along they are? I don't think the noise would be much of an issue because I'll be up early, but if the restaurants or services are limited, that would be a big drawback! Any advice would be appreciated! |
Have you read the Trip Advisor reviews of each of these hotels?

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt on Pine Street (there is also a Seattle area Hyatt in Bellevue) two years ago. We loved it! We had a beautiful room looking out over Lake Union and the Space Needle. The room was large, nicely decorated, and the bathroom was gorgeous.

The construction will still be going on.
The Hilton's location is inferior. The Hyatt is the hands-down best choice of the 3. |
I've stayed at the Hilton and Sheraton and, even though I generally prefer Hilton, in this city, the Sheraton is a beter choice of the two. Haven't stayed at the Hyatt.

The Hyatt and Sheraton are both right next to the Washington State Convention Center.
The Hyatt is much newer than the existing tower of the Sheraton. The new tower at the Sheraton will open in June. I would not anticipate annoying construction noise. If price is a consideration but the Sheraton is only a BIT cheaper, book at the Hyatt. Otherwise the Sheraton in Seattle is a very good place. |
Thanks everyone, for your thoughts. You've helped me to rule out the Hilton, now I'm just debating the other two. It sounds like the Hyatt should be nicer, but no pool and more money, and the Sheraton is cheaper with a pool, but construction. Hmmmm.....

If a pool is a deal-maker for you, stay at the Sheraton.
The location couldn't be better for the convention center, shopping, dining, or entertainment, and I'm confident that the hotel is doing everything possible to not annoy guests with noise. Call them and ask, I am confident they will be truthful: 206 621-9000. |
